Kids love painting and getting a little bit messy.

When I'm here I love it when it's really busy and bustling and noisy.

The idea of a pottery-painting café is a fun, creative, enjoyable activity for adults and children.

They can choose a piece of ceramical pottery to paint and decorate.

We then glaze it and fire it in our kiln and then about a week later it's ready for collection.

I prefer to let the kids just create.

If they want to paint a purple dog or a stripy elephant that's fine because it just shows their view of the world their imagination and we loose that very quickly as we grow older.

I see the business as a fun business.

People come in here and have a good time.

I wanted to create a contemporary studio and IKEA was great for that because their furniture is very modern.

I got into ceramics about 16 years ago. I was living in Hong Kong.

It was a new adventure and a wonderful experience.

When I came back to London I set up a studio at home and started to do this "hobby-ceramics" from home as a mobile business and then I really wanted to open a studio.

That's my passion.

I've wanted to run a business ever since I was quite young.

When you're running a business you have to give up a lot of your time to the business. If I'm not here or focussing on the business the business doesn't move forward because I drive the business.

I've got all sorts of customers ranging from little toddlers right up to sixty, seventy-year old grandparents.

My kids love it.

My eldest daughter works in the studio on the weekends.

She's got a job out of it. My little one is eight and that's the real sort of optimum age. They love it at eight.

It's a very relaxing activity, very therapeutic.

I love it when it's quiet too because then I can sit back and really enjoy it.

My advice for someone starting a business is really do your research, do a good business plan. That does help.

Have a vision.

I have a very strong emotional feeling about this business, this shop because I started it. It's my idea and my design.

Everything came from me so it is a very emotional business for me.

I love coming to work.

This is my baby so, you know I've got to love it really.

I do love what I do.
